               In this period when the literary reading of the Bhakti movement is decreasing, the life history of the Nayanmars and the life history of the Azhwars should be spread among the people, which serve as an incentive to read devotional literature. Moreover, it is a matter for everyone to know that the life of servants is designed to develop humanity, reveal personality and stimulate social thinking. It is necessary for today's literary reader to fully appreciate the beauty of Tamil language. Bhakti literature subtly reveals the beauty of the sound of words, the beauty of word combinations, the beauty of the sharpness of the combination and concept. This review is a face to reveal the character of the life of Kunkuliyak Kalaya Nayanar and the personality of Nayanar as depicted by Shekchilar in his big legend.

பக்தி இயக்கத்தின் இலக்கிய வாசிப்பு குறைந்து வரும் இக்காலகட்டத்தில் மக்களிடையே பக்தி இலக்கியங்களை வாசிக்கத் தூண்டுகோலாக விளங்கும் நாயன்மார்களின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாறும் ஆழ்வார்களின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாறும் பரவ வேண்டும். மேலும், அடியார்களின் வாழ்வு மனிதநேயத்தை வளர்ப்பதாகவும், ஆளுமைத் தன்மையை வெளிப்படுத்துவதாகவும், சமுதாயச் சிந்தனையைத் தூண்டுவதாகவும் அமைந்திருப்பது அனைவரும் அறிய வேண்டிய ஒன்று. தமிழ் மொழியின் அழகினை முழுதும் உணர்வது இன்றைய இலக்கிய வாசகனின் அவசியமாகிறது. சொற்களின் ஒலி அழகினை, சொல் இணைவுகளின் அழகினை, அணி மற்றும் கருத்து சென்று சந்திக்கும் கூர்மையின் அழகினை பக்தி இலக்கியங்கள் நுட்பமாக வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றன. குங்குலியக் கலய நாயனாரின் வாழ்வினை சேக்கிழார் தம் பெரிய புராணத்தில் சித்திரித்துள்ள பாங்கினையும், நாயனாரது வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றுடன் ஆளுமைத்திறனையும் வெளிப்படுத்தும் முகமாக இவ்வாய்வு அமைகிறது
