Although modern communication tools such as newspapers and online magazines are structured as database of information, it is possible to make the world aware of the disappearance of communication principles through an in-depth study. This review article seeks to explore and reveal the way the leading Tamil dailies such as Dinamani, Dinamalar, Dinakaran, Dinathanthi, Hindu Tamil Thisai, along with the exclusively online magazines such as BBC Tamil, Asianet News Tamil, One India Tamil, Vinavu and Thandoraa, have been linked to the principles of communication. It is necessary to examine the veracity and speed of the news published in both types of magazines. There is also a need to explore the message through the principles of communication and make it known to the world. Hence, this study has explained the news of two types of magazines in a theoretical way.

நவீன தகவல் தொடர்புச் சாதனங்களான நாளிதழ்கள், இணைய இதழ்களில் செய்திகள்  தகவல் தொகுப்பின் அடிப்படையில் கட்டமைக்கப்படுகின்றன என்றாலும், அதற்குள் தகவல் தொடர்பு கோட்பாடுகள் மறைந்து காணப்படுவதை, ஆழமான ஆய்வின் மூலம் உலகிற்கு உணர்த்த முடியும்.

இவ்விரு ஊடகங்களில் பணிபுரியும் செய்தியாளர்கள் உள்ளூர், மாவட்டம், மாநிலம், தேசியம் மற்றும் சர்வதேச அளவில் தகவல்களைத் திரட்டி செய்தியாக வெளியிடுவதால், அதை மக்கள் எளிதாக அறிந்து கொள்ள முடிகிறது. அதே நேரத்தில் அரசு, பொதுத்துறை, நிறுவனங்கள், தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள், செய்தி நிறுவனங்கள், சமூக அதிகாரங்களைக் கொண்டிருப்போர் பற்றிய அறிவிப்புகள், பெரும்பாலும் அவர்களுடையே கருத்தே தவிர, செய்தியாளர்களின் கருத்தாக அமைவதில்லை. இவை வருவாய் நோக்கிலும், அதிகாரத்துக்கு அஞ்சியும் வெளியிடப்படுகிறது என்பது மறுப்பதற்கில்லை.
