Abstract
The Literatures are the ones that refine the Human Life. These Literatures have appeared in Tamil Language in various forms. Thus, Devotional Literature forms one of these types of Literature. These Literatures originated and developed during the Pallava Period. Devotional Literature not only teaches man virtues and virtues but also expounds Theological principles and Philosophical principles. The discipline of worship is followed when explaining theology. Philosophical principles lead us to think about yogic posture and health. One of the components of such a philosophy is the Bandara Satras. The Bandara Satra texts are composed by the monks in the monasteries. This review article examines the meaning and significance of the word Sivananda in these Bandara Satras.
