It highlights women's emotional depth, social roles, courage, and intellectual contributions. The study reveals that women in Sangam society held a respectable and influential position. Sangam literature, dating from 300 BCE to 300 CE, reflects the life and culture of ancient Tamils. Women played a vital role in shaping the ethical and emotional fabric of society. Their dignity is reflected through literary depictions of love, patience, courage, and wisdom.
